Job description
AMCDE, a prominent joint venture under KBR, is seeking a Business Development Director to lead and execute growth strategies across Saudi Arabia. Based in Al Khobar, this high-level leadership role will focus on expanding client engagement beyond the GS+ contract with Saudi Aramco while diversifying business across infrastructure, energy, and industrial sectors. As a senior figure within AMCDE, you will influence strategic direction, mentor the internal sales team, and drive sustainable business growth through high-impact relationship management, proposals, and market insight. This role requires deep commercial acumen, extensive KSA market experience, and a trusted reputation in the engineering and consulting domain.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a nationwide business development strategy aligned with AMCDEâs objectives.
- Expand strategic engagement with Saudi Aramco while identifying adjacent growth areas under the GS+ framework.
- Achieve and exceed revenue targets, supporting profitability and market penetration.
- Diversify the client base across infrastructure, energy, and industrial sectors in the Kingdom.
- Mentor and guide the internal bidding and business development team to enhance capability and performance.
- Establish and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across public and private sector entities.
- Lead the creation of competitive proposals, ensuring high-quality submissions and win rates.
- Actively represent AMCDE and KBR in industry events, forums, and meetings to enhance brand presence.
- Collaborate with regional KBR leadership and report to the VP of Business Development and AMCDE Managing Director.
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 5 yearsâ experience in business development within the Saudi engineering, infrastructure, or energy sectors.
- Proven track record of securing business with Saudi Aramco and major regional clients.
- Fluent in Arabic and proficient in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong commercial skills, including negotiation, client engagement, and deal structuring.
- High-level stakeholder engagement and ability to operate at executive level internally and externally.
- Solid understanding of Saudi regulatory frameworks and industry dynamics.
- Strategic and hands-on mindset with leadership presence and collaborative approach.
- Proven experience in managing high-value proposals and multi-disciplinary business development teams.
