Job description
Citi Private Bank is hiring a Senior Lead Investment Counselor in Dubai to manage and grow ultra-high net worth (UHNW) client relationships across the Middle East. This executive role demands deep investment acumen, strategic advisory experience, and the ability to lead complex cross-border, multi-asset portfolios. Candidates must be entrepreneurial, commercially focused, and collaborative in order to support both individual client mandates and broader business growth. As part of Citiās elite Private Bank platform, this role is instrumental in expanding the bankās influence among the regionās most affluent clients and families.

Key responsibilities
- Serve as primary investment advisor for UHNW clients, providing tailored portfolio strategies and actionable investment insights
- Leverage existing networks and investment experience to bring new clients into Citi Private Bank
- Design and implement bespoke investment solutions across asset classes, currencies, and jurisdictions
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Bankers, Trust, Lending, Institutional Solutions) to cross-sell and deepen client engagement
- Provide proactive investment guidance and brokerage execution in line with market trends and client needs
- Ensure rigorous compliance with regulatory standards and risk frameworks
- Represent Citi at high-level client meetings and industry events, showcasing thought leadership
- Apply ethical judgment and transparency in all business and client interactions
- Guide investment decisions using deep market knowledge, analytical insight, and strategic thinking
Experience & skills
- 10+ years of investment advisory experience, with strong track record in UHNW client management
- Deep expertise in both traditional and alternative investment products
- Ability to work across currencies, markets, and financial jurisdictions
- Bachelorās degree required; MBA, FA, or other advanced finance certifications preferred
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with executive presence
- Proven track record in cross-selling and building high-performing client portfolios
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance issues in wealth management
- US regulatory licenses (SIE, S7, S63/66, S3) preferred for candidates with relevant jurisdictional background
