Job description
Etqan Global Academy is a newly established IB World School in Doha, and its IB Middle Years Programme still has to be built, authorised and embedded. That work falls to the MYP Coordinator, who acts as the school's primary liaison with the IB organisation through authorisation, evaluation and self-study. Much of the job is about people, coaching teachers on programme delivery, unit design and assessment, and running MYP-focused CPD linked to Nord Anglia University. Assessment needs equal care, from moderation and standardisation across all subject groups to eAssessment preparation and external moderation submissions. The Personal Project, service as action and ATL skill development also sit under your oversight. Parents and the wider school community will look to you for clear updates on MYP expectations, progress and outcomes. Candidates need a recognised teaching qualification, classroom experience in an IB MYP school and Category 1 or 2 MYP workshop training. Previous coordinator or curriculum leadership experience and time in Middle East international schools would both be an advantage.
