Job description
Mashreq's Qatar business needs a clear read on its own performance, and this Business Planning and Analysis Manager in Doha provides it through management reporting, MIS and business performance analysis. Senior management relies on your insights into profitability drivers, opportunities and risks. Annual budgeting, planning, forecasting and financial modelling all run through you, including variance analysis and scenario planning. Tax is a significant part of the remit, with monthly Withholding Tax (WHT) filings, contract reporting and support for the Head of Finance on the annual corporate tax return and tax authority queries, assessments and audits. Liquidity monitoring under QCB regulations and the bank's internal policy also sits here, along with input to monthly ALCO packs. Revenue and expense recognition, revenue leakage, controllable expenses and channel productivity are watched closely. When the Assistant Manager is away, regulatory and financial reporting submissions are covered jointly with the Head of Finance. Reporting automation and process improvement are ongoing priorities, so a good understanding of banking systems and reporting tools helps. A CA, CPA, ACCA or MBA is required, with 5 to 8 years in management reporting, planning, budgeting, business analysis and tax compliance within banking or financial services.
