Job description
The Global Key Account Manager will be responsible for nurturing and growing relationships with our key clients across the globe. This role is pivotal to our organization's growth strategy, focusing on client retention, expansion, and delivering top-notch logistics solutions. The successful candidate will be an expert in the logistics industry, have a deep understanding of client needs, and possess exceptional relationship-building skills.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs and challenges.
- Act as the primary point of contact and advocate for clients within the organization.
- Identify account growth and expansion opportunities, collaborating with internal teams to develop solutions.
- Ensure clients know all the services and capabilities our company can offer to meet evolving logistics requirements.
- Create and implement strategic account plans for key clients, aligning their objectives with our logistics solutions.
- Analyze market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for client engagement.
- Advise capability sales to increase probability of closing opportunities.
- Lead Global Key Account Plans, Quarterly Business Reviews, Service Level Agreements, KPI development, contract renewals, cross-selling and upselling efforts.
- Promote and sell new logistics solutions including packing stations, white room services, value added services, and cold storage.
- Manage and lead an engaged team, ensuring development against aligned and measurable goals.
- Act as an ambassador for DP World, demonstrating positive behaviors aligned with company principles.
- Ensure the highest level of safety in all activities and adhere to Code of Conduct and Ethics policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Engage in commercial proposals for various sectors including bulk meat, seafood, produce, ecommerce, quick service restaurants, retail, and dairy.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Insider knowledge or interaction with Produce, Seafood, Meat & proteins, Dairy, Pastry, Retail, and Quick Service Restaurant industries.
- Experience with refrigerated ocean / air / land transport and cold storage.
- Interaction with solution designers and property development teams, including packing stations, fruit terminals, and coldstores.
- At least 12 years of experience in food logistics and/or agrofood supply chain management.
- Proven track record in global key account management with demonstrated client retention and growth success.
- Prior experience serving Produce, Meat, and Seafood customers is an asset.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Excel, and logistics software.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
- Experience with lean management principles and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
