Job description
The Credit Manager at Al-Futtaim Automotive BYD KSA is responsible for managing credit risk and ensuring effective credit governance across the automotive business. The role involves evaluating customer creditworthiness, reviewing and approving customer credit applications, setting and managing credit limits aligned with risk appetite, and ensuring compliance with credit policies and procedures. The position requires monitoring accounts receivable aging, overseeing collections processes, supporting resolution of high-risk or complex cases, and driving improvements in collection efficiency to improve cash flow and minimize bad debts. The Credit Manager establishes and enforces credit policies and procedures, ensures adherence to internal controls and risk frameworks, and continuously reviews and enhances credit processes. The role requires working closely with sales teams to balance revenue growth and risk exposure, partnering with finance and operations on credit-related matters, and providing guidance on credit decisions and risk mitigation strategies. Responsibilities include preparing credit risk reports and dashboards, tracking KPIs such as DSO, overdue balances, and bad debts, and providing insights to senior management to improve cash flow and financial performance. The position involves leading and supporting collections and credit teams, setting targets, monitoring performance, coaching team members, and ensuring operational excellence. The role requires strong understanding of financial statements, credit risk management, collections, accounts receivable, ERP systems including SAP, and credit tools within an automotive environment supporting Al-Futtaim Automotive operations.

Key responsibilities
- Manage credit risk by reviewing and approving customer credit applications, assessing creditworthiness using financial statements and credit reports, setting credit limits aligned with risk appetite, and ensuring compliance with credit policies and procedures
- Oversee accounts receivable and collections operations including monitoring accounts receivable aging, tracking overdue balances, implementing escalation strategies, and resolving high-risk or complex credit cases
- Establish and enforce credit governance frameworks including credit policies, internal controls, and risk management procedures while continuously reviewing and enhancing credit processes
- Collaborate with sales teams to balance revenue growth with credit risk exposure while partnering with finance and operations teams on credit-related decisions and risk mitigation strategies
- Prepare credit risk reports, dashboards, and financial insights for senior management including tracking KPIs such as DSO, overdue balances, and bad debts to improve cash flow performance
- Lead collections and credit teams by setting targets, monitoring performance, coaching team members, and improving operational efficiency
- Utilize ERP systems such as SAP and credit management tools to monitor receivables, track credit exposure, and generate financial reports
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize collections efficiency, minimize bad debts, and strengthen credit governance processes
Experience & skills
- Obtain Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with 5–8 years of experience in credit management or accounts receivable functions
- Demonstrate strong experience in credit risk management, collections, accounts receivable aging, and credit governance within corporate environments
- Possess strong understanding of financial statements, credit analysis, credit reports, and risk assessment methodologies
- Show experience leading credit or collections teams including target setting, performance monitoring, and team development
- Demonstrate knowledge of ERP systems including SAP and credit management tools used for accounts receivable and credit monitoring
- Exhibit experience collaborating with sales, finance, and operations teams to balance revenue growth and risk management
- Demonstrate ability to prepare credit risk reports, dashboards, and KPI tracking including DSO, overdue balances, and bad debts
- Possess strong analytical skills and decision-making ability to improve cash flow, reduce credit risk, and enhance collections efficiency
