Job description
The role supports ADNOC Offshore as part of Woodâs Construction Engineering team, serving as a PMC Specialist Reservoir Engineer focused on carbonate reservoirs to boost production capacity, sustain plateau performance, and manage decline while addressing significant subsurface uncertainty. Responsibilities include leading subsurface evaluation and SELECT-stage field development plan optimization, integrating geological, geophysical, logs, RCAL, SCAL, production, injection, and pressure datasets to ensure coherent data interpretation. The position evaluates development plan alternatives, ensuring high recovery factors aligned with ADNOC targets, reservoir health, and economic viability, while validating simulation outputs for technical integrity. Duties involve running uncertainty evaluations, ranking key uncertainties affecting production and recovery, and proposing alternative development options including pattern schemes, vertical and lateral well placement, MRC technology, smart completions, artificial lift strategies, and injection strategies. The role optimizes well count, recovery performance, and economic outcomes, and supports drilling teams with drillability and anti-collision studies. It prepares detailed technical reports and presentations summarizing simulation findings, scenario analyses, and economic implications. The specialist uses reservoir simulation tools such as PETREL/Intersect and tNavigator, applies advanced analytical technologies and AI-based methods, and delivers continuous progress updates and structured monthly reports. The position requires expertise in carbonate field development projects, offshore experience, strong analytical skills, and more than a decade of experience in reservoir simulation and data integration.
