Job description
The Climate Technology Solutions - Sales Director at Baker Hughes will be responsible for driving business growth across energy transition sectors such as carbon capture, hydrogen, ammonia, power, geothermal, and energy storage. This includes building strong customer relationships, developing and converting a robust pipeline, and partnering with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver complex decarbonization solutions. The role demands strong technical and commercial expertise to drive successful project execution and market positioning for Baker Hughes in the climate technology space.

Key responsibilities
- Develop a solid pipeline of energy transition projects.
- Transform leads into orders by managing commercial and technical sales processes.
- Position Baker Hughes as a critical partner in carbon capture, hydrogen, ammonia, integrated power, geothermal, and energy storage markets.
- Engage with existing and new clients including emitters, engineering firms, and licensors.
- Lead sales of creative decarbonization solutions through partnerships and innovative offerings.
- Promote Baker Hughesâ solutions in pilot projects for new technology launches.
- Collaborate internally to channel feedback and represent Climate Technology Solutions externally.
- Monitor government and industry trends, identify project funding sources and strategic partnerships.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree from an accredited university or college.
- 15+ years of experience in Sales or Business Development within the region.
- Proven ability to close complex business deals and agreements.
- Experience in energy technologies such as compression, turbines, carbon capture, hydrogen, power generation, or liquefaction.
- Broad and intimate network in the energy and/or industrial market in the region.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to various audiences including leadership.
- Arabic proficiency is a plus.
- Engineering background is preferred.
