Job description
The role provides strategic leadership for developing, enhancing and executing enterprise-wide business continuity and resilience strategies across the organization. The Head of Business Continuity & Resilience acts as the architect of the organizationās resilience framework, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy, risk management and regulatory expectations. The position involves identifying potential risks, conducting enterprise-wide assessments, designing a comprehensive operational resilience framework and embedding a resilience culture throughout all business groups. Responsibilities include mapping important business services, defining impact tolerances, integrating operational resilience with business continuity, disaster recovery, third-party risk management and incident response strategies. The role oversees resilience testing programs including severe-but-plausible scenarios, conducts business impact analyses, monitors resilience metrics and KPIs, and leads crisis responses while coordinating recovery efforts. Additional responsibilities include maintaining crisis communication frameworks, liaising with regulators, auditors and external stakeholders, fostering cross-functional collaboration, ensuring SLAs support continuity expectations and leveraging emerging technologies and data analytics to enhance resilience capabilities. The role also includes people leadership, mentoring teams, driving innovation, promoting a culture of accountability within the resilience function and ensuring adherence to operational risk management frameworks.

Key responsibilities
- Act as the primary architect of the enterprise resilience framework and align it with risk management and corporate strategy
- Develop and execute an enterprise-wide resilience strategy that ensures continuity of critical operations
- Design and implement an Operational Resilience Framework aligned with regulatory guidelines and internal risk appetite
- Embed a culture of resilience across business groups through awareness initiatives and regular training
- Ensure resilience plans are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect emerging risks and business changes
- Chair or participate in operational resilience and risk governance committees
- Oversee resilience testing programs including severe-but-plausible scenario testing
- Identify and map Important Business Services and define impact tolerances
- Integrate operational resilience with business continuity, disaster recovery, third-party risk and incident response strategies
- Lead the design, implementation and testing of business continuity and crisis management plans
- Conduct regular business impact analyses to assess the effects of potential disruptions
- Monitor resilience KPIs and metrics to evaluate organizational readiness
- Conduct enterprise-wide risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies
- Serve as senior lead during disruptions, guiding decision-making and recovery efforts
- Establish and maintain crisis communication frameworks for timely information dissemination
- Act as a liaison with regulators, auditors and external parties to ensure compliance and alignment
- Foster cross-functional collaboration across business, IT, risk and compliance teams
- Deliver training and awareness programs to strengthen resilience responsibilities across the organization
- Coordinate major incident responses including crisis escalation and communication
- Collaborate with technology, third-party risk and cyber teams to assess ecosystem resilience
