Job description
The Assessment & Coaching Subject Matter Expert role at Aramco is part of the Talent Assessment & Coaching Unit (TAC) within the Management Development Services Department (MDSD) and is responsible for building, providing, and sustaining robust assessment processes and technology based on industry best practices and psychological science. The role delivers high-quality assessment and coaching data translated into meaningful insights that support employee and leader development, as well as strategic talent and business decisions. The SME serves as a trusted expert input provider for designing and maintaining a comprehensive assessment and coaching portfolio, covering needs assessment, applied research, assessment methodology and design, data analysis, and evaluation. Operating within one of the worldâs largest and most profitable energy companies, the role supports leadership development, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness while ensuring high standards of reliability, validity, consistency, and ethical integrity across enterprise-wide assessment and coaching practices. The position applies advanced data analytics techniques, including descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics, and contributes to thought leadership to ensure offerings remain aligned with emerging trends and scientific rigor in assessment and coaching.

Key responsibilities
- Design and develop robust behavior-based competency models and assessment methodologies grounded in psychological principles and industry best practices
- Select, administer, and interpret a wide range of psychological and leadership assessment tools tailored to individual and organizational needs
- Deliver structured assessment-based feedback and leadership coaching sessions to frontline and mid-level leaders
- Develop and implement behavioral competency frameworks aligned with organizational goals and leadership development strategies
- Apply descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics to analyze talent data and generate actionable insights for talent and business decisions
- Serve as a trusted advisor to management and Senior HR Business Partners on talent assessment, coaching strategies, succession planning, and leadership development
- Support the design and enhancement of coaching frameworks and programs to improve individual and team performance
- Conduct applied research and contribute to thought leadership to ensure assessment and coaching practices reflect emerging industry trends and scientific rigor
- Ensure reliability, validity, standardization, and ethical integrity of assessment and coaching practices across the enterprise
- Collaborate with management, Senior HRBPs, and cross-functional stakeholders to align assessment and coaching initiatives with strategic business objectives
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor Degree in Psychology or a related Social Sciences discipline
- Possess a Master degree in Industrial & Organizational Psychology or Organizational Psychology (preferred)
- Demonstrate 8 to 15 years of experience designing, selecting, administering, and interpreting psychological assessments in workplace settings
- Show proven experience developing and implementing behavioral competency frameworks and competency modeling
- Have experience applying assessment tools across leadership development and succession planning contexts
- Demonstrate experience providing assessment feedback and coaching to frontline and mid-level leaders
- Exhibit experience using emerging data analytics technologies, including predictive, prescriptive, and descriptive analytics, to analyze workplace data
- Provide expert guidance to management on industry best practices, psychological principles, and trends in assessment and coaching
- Possess consulting experience and the ability to build and maintain relationships at multiple organizational levels
- Hold a foundational coaching credential at minimum
