Job description
Inception, a G42 company based in Abu Dhabi, turns data and compute infrastructure into applied AI products and solutions for enterprise customers across several industries. Reporting to the Senior Director, Solution Engineering, this Senior Manager position is a hands-on individual contributor role with no direct reports. Your work spans the full arc of AI solution design on strategic engagements, from technical discovery and architecture through to rapid prototyping of Minimum Loveable Prototypes (MLPs). Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, RAG and Conversational AI come together in the blueprints you define, alongside Inception products, bespoke components and customer systems. Trade-offs across performance, cost, latency, security and responsible AI guardrails need to be made pragmatically. Pre-sales is a large part of the role, covering AI envisioning sessions, RFP responses, client workshops, proofs-of-concept and executive briefings for CxO and board-level stakeholders. Internally, you mentor Solution Engineers, build reusable reference architectures and work with applied science, product and engineering leads to shape the roadmap. At least 14 years in technical pre-sales, solution architecture or consulting is required, with hands-on knowledge of LLMs, vector databases, knowledge graphs, prompt engineering and fine-tuning, and at least one production-grade GenAI or ML solution behind you. Experience with LLMOps, Azure AI platforms, air-gapped deployments and certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect or TOGAF would add weight.

Key responsibilities
- Own AI solution design for enterprise engagements across Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG, Machine Learning and Conversational AI
- Define high-level architectures, reference patterns and solution blueprints that integrate Inception products with bespoke AI components and customer systems
- Balance architectural trade-offs across performance, cost, latency, security and responsible AI guardrails
- Drive rapid prototyping and Minimum Loveable Prototypes (MLPs) to validate feasibility, value and direction before full delivery investment
- Lead technical discovery and AI envisioning sessions to uncover customer goals, constraints and transformation opportunities
- Translate complex AI capabilities into clear solution narratives tailored to each customer
- Provide senior technical leadership on RFP responses, client workshops and proofs-of-concept
- Advise CxO and board-level stakeholders across strategic accounts as a trusted technical partner
- Deliver solution presentations, live demos and executive briefings for proposed AI solutions
- Represent Inception's AI vision externally with credibility and clarity
- Partner with sales, product managers, applied science and engineering leads to influence the product roadmap
- Coordinate with applied science to validate model feasibility, performance and scalability
- Ensure smooth handover from pre-sales to delivery teams at project kickoff
- Create reusable templates, design patterns and AI reference architectures to standardise solutioning
- Mentor Solution Engineers to raise team capability in AI solutioning and rapid validation
- Contribute to pre-sales KPIs such as win rate, deal velocity and prototype-to-MVP conversion
Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field, with a master's preferred
- Bring 14+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture or consulting with meaningful exposure to AI, cloud or SaaS
- Demonstrate hands-on experience designing large-scale enterprise AI solutions, including at least one production-grade GenAI or ML solution
- Offer experience in at least one of Retail, FSI, Telco, Software Product or Public Sector/National Security
- Show experience working with commercial and delivery teams across the full solution lifecycle
- Understand modern AI architectures including LLMs, RAG, vector databases, knowledge graphs, prompt engineering, fine-tuning and agentic systems
- Prototype AI workflows quickly and pragmatically to validate ideas
- Simplify complex technical ideas for executive and business stakeholders
- Have experience with Agentic AI orchestrators, LLMOps and responsible AI frameworks (preferred)
- Possess hands-on exposure to Azure AI platforms and hybrid or air-gapped deployments (preferred)
- Carry certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, Azure AI Engineer or TOGAF (preferred)
