The Managing Director – Service Provider (MEA) role at Cisco is a senior executive leadership position responsible for leading Cisco’s Service Provider business across the Middle East and Africa region. The role is accountable for defining and executing regional go-to-market strategies, driving revenue growth, expanding pipeline, and strengthening Cisco’s market position across large telecommunications and service provider organizations. The Managing Director leads high-performing sales teams and orchestrates cross-functional collaboration across global Cisco teams, partners, and internal business units to deliver integrated solutions aligned with Cisco’s portfolio. This role requires strong executive presence and the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels, including C-level executives, while representing Cisco at industry events and strategic forums. The position is responsible for driving top-line growth through cross-selling, upselling, and acquisition of new business franchises, while ensuring operational excellence in forecasting, reporting, and sales execution. The role leverages Cisco’s networking, software, and hardware solutions and applies the “One Cisco Story” to align customer needs with enterprise solutions. It also involves building and sustaining strategic partner ecosystems, leading organizational transformation initiatives, and using data-driven insights, AI, automation, and digital tools to improve efficiency and accelerate growth. The Managing Director is also responsible for team development, succession planning, leadership cultivation, and building a high-performance, inclusive culture. The role requires fluency in English and Arabic and deep experience in IT and telecom sales leadership within large-scale service provider environments across the MEA region.

- Define and execute Cisco’s Service Provider go-to-market strategy across the Middle East and Africa region
- Lead and manage high-performing regional sales teams to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Drive pipeline expansion, cross-selling, upselling, and acquisition of new business opportunities
- Represent Cisco at industry events, customer engagements, and executive business forums
- Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration across global teams, partners, and internal business units
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with business objectives and market expansion goals
- Engage and influence C-level executives and senior stakeholders across customer organizations
- Ensure operational excellence in forecasting, reporting, and sales performance management
- Leverage Cisco’s portfolio to articulate integrated solution value through the One Cisco strategy
- Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with service provider customers and partners
- Lead organizational change management and adoption of digital tools, AI, and automation
- Develop leadership talent, succession pipelines, and high-performance team culture
- Monitor business performance metrics including revenue growth and pipeline development
- Align resources and execution plans across regional and global teams
- Promote inclusive leadership, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the organization
Experience & skills
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in IT or telecommunications sales
- At least 7+ years of experience in sales leadership and managing people leaders
- Proven experience selling software and hardware solutions to large service provider organizations
- Strong track record of exceeding sales quotas and driving revenue growth
- Experience in business planning, forecasting, and operational excellence
- Ability to influence and collaborate across diverse global and cross-functional teams
- Fluency in English and Arabic with strong executive communication skills
- Experience engaging with senior leadership and C-level stakeholders
- Strong leadership, team development, and organizational management capabilities
- Preferred MBA or equivalent advanced degree
- Experience in change management, data analysis, and process automation preferred
- Strong understanding of Cisco or similar networking and enterprise technology solutions
