Job description
The Director - Technical is responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of construction project delivery, from design review and estimation to compliance and execution. This leadership role ensures that design and engineering documentation aligns with project scope, timelines, and client specifications. Working closely with internal teams and clients, the Director will provide expert input on materials, mock-ups, buildability, and technical solutions while coordinating drawing submissions, site implementation, and as-built documentation.

Key responsibilities
- Direct all technical procedures such as design, estimation, and materials management
- Analyze technical specifications, contract requirements, and project scope of work
- Provide consultancy on design feasibility, material use, and execution techniques
- Plan and monitor drawing submission schedules in alignment with site and contract needs
- Develop concept, shop, and fabrication drawings to meet project specifications
- Provide technical assessments on all material components to ensure project compliance
- Review and approve all drawing submissions prior to external submission
- Ensure drawings, calculations, and submissions gain organizational approval before production or installation
- Coordinate mock-ups and performance testing for organizational validation
- Ensure timely issuance of all technical documents for production and installation
- Initiate corrective and preventive actions for design-related non-conformances
- Oversee final submission of as-built drawings in line with contract requirements
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 10+ years of construction project management experience
- At least 5 years in a senior technical leadership role
- Strong background in technical documentation, drawing workflows, and compliance
- Ability to assess and advise on material usage and engineering feasibility
- Experience managing drawing development, mock-ups, and site coordination
