The Aviation Solutions Development Lead â Consulting at Cognizant is responsible for leading the design, development, implementation, and optimization of aviation-related digital and operational systems across airside, terminal, and passenger journey domains in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia under a hybrid work model. Operating within Cognizant Consulting, the role orchestrates strategy, design, technology, and industry knowledge to deliver scalable aviation technology solutions that are business-aligned, operationally efficient, secure, compliant, and future-ready. The position acts as a bridge between operations, ICT, airlines, ground handlers, regulators, vendors, and senior leadership, ensuring that aviation systems support safety, compliance, operational efficiency, and passenger experience. The role leads the full lifecycle management of aviation systems including Turnaround Management Systems (TMS), Airport Operational Database (AODB), Baggage Handling and Reconciliation Systems (BHS/BRS), Resource Management Systems (RMS), Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS), Self-Service Systems such as CUSS, SBD, and SBG, and Airport Community Platforms. Responsibilities include translating operational requirements into technical solution designs; reviewing and validating system architectures, integrations, APIs, and data flows; ensuring scalability, availability, cybersecurity, and compliance with aviation standards; leading end-to-end delivery of aviation technology projects including business case development, vendor selection, implementation, testing, and go-live; establishing governance, risk management, and quality assurance frameworks; ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget; driving innovation through automation, KPI improvement, and data-driven decision-making; ensuring operational readiness through User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training, documentation, and knowledge transfer; and supporting post-implementation optimization and business continuity planning. The role is embedded within a global professional services environment transforming clientsâ business, operating, and technology models for the digital era, aligned with enterprise governance, regulatory compliance, and aviation operational standards.

Key responsibilities
- Lead development and lifecycle management of aviation systems including Turnaround Management Systems (TMS), Airport Operational Database (AODB), Baggage Handling and Reconciliation Systems (BHS/BRS), Resource Management Systems (RMS), Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS), Self-Service Systems (CUSS, SBD, SBG), and Airport Community Platforms across airside, terminal, and passenger journey domains
- Translate operational requirements into technical solution designs and review and validate system architectures, integrations, APIs, and data flows to ensure scalability, availability, cybersecurity, and compliance with aviation standards
- Lead end-to-end delivery of aviation technology projects including business case development, vendor selection, implementation, testing, and go-live while ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget
- Establish governance, risk management, and quality assurance frameworks to ensure safety, compliance, operational efficiency, and passenger experience
- Act as the primary technical interface with operations, ICT, airlines, ground handlers, regulators, vendors, and senior leadership to align aviation solutions with business objectives
- Identify opportunities for automation, KPI improvement, and data-driven decision-making to drive innovation and digital transformation
- Ensure operational readiness including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training, documentation, and knowledge transfer and support post-implementation optimization and business continuity planning
Experience & skills
- Obtain a Bachelorâs degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or Aviation Management
- Hold a Masterâs degree or MBA as an advantage
- Demonstrate capability to design, develop, implement, and optimize aviation-related digital and operational systems across airside, terminal, and passenger journey domains
- Demonstrate expertise in aviation systems including TMS, AODB, BHS/BRS, RMS, FIDS, CUSS, SBD, SBG, and Airport Community Platforms
- Demonstrate experience in system architecture review, integrations, APIs, data flows, cybersecurity, and compliance with aviation standards
- Demonstrate experience in end-to-end aviation technology project delivery including business case development, vendor selection, implementation, testing, and go-live
- Demonstrate experience establishing governance, risk management, and quality assurance frameworks and ensuring operational readiness through UAT and business continuity planning
