Job description
A flagship luxury development in Riyadh needs its utility backbone managed from concept through detailed design, and that responsibility sits with this Senior Design Manager position. Dry and wet utility design, corridor coordination, authority interfaces, and consultant management all fall under your oversight throughout project delivery. Power, telecom, district cooling, water, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation and related utility networks get coordinated across every design stage. Consultant teams get managed directly, and utility strategies, layouts, calculations and technical submissions get reviewed as part of that oversight. Infrastructure, roads, transport, architecture and landscape teams coordinate through this role to resolve corridor and interface issues before they become project risks. Authority engagement, technical approvals and utility provider coordination draw on this position's support throughout the process. Risks, changes and design constraints affecting utility packages get identified and managed as they surface. Value engineering and design optimisation initiatives improve efficiency, constructability and lifecycle performance under this role's leadership. Programme milestones, deliverable schedules and consultant performance all get tracked closely, and reports flow regularly to project leadership and client teams. Procurement documentation, consultant selection and technical bid evaluations also draw on this role's input where required.
