Job description
The Personal Banker - DST is a sales-oriented role focused on acquiring new retail banking customers and deepening existing relationships by cross-selling a full suite of personal banking products. The role demands active prospecting in both individual and corporate segments, conducting targeted marketing activities, and ensuring high compliance with KYC/AML/FATCA regulations. The banker will play a critical role in revenue generation and must demonstrate product knowledge, initiative in acquiring customers, and a deep understanding of the bankās sales process. The position requires timely processing of applications and customer onboarding in accordance with internal and regulatory requirements.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Achieve or exceed monthly sales targets for personal banking products such as credit cards, personal loans, and accounts
- Conduct cold calling, field visits, and direct meetings to prospect new customers and promote banking services
- Generate leads through kiosk promotions, community events, referrals, and corporate tie-ups
- Educate customers on bank product features, benefits, charges, and terms to enable informed decisions
- Provide end-to-end customer onboarding support, including documentation, KYC verification, and application follow-up
- Cross-sell banking products to existing customers to increase wallet share and product penetration
- Monitor and maintain high-quality service standards and ensure TATs are met for application processing
- Collaborate with other departments including Operations, Risk, and Compliance to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery
- Conduct needs-based financial analysis to offer tailored solutions and identify suitable product bundles
- Record and track sales activities using CRM systems, maintaining accurate customer records and pipeline updates
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory guidelines, bank policies, and audit standards for all transactions and interactions
- Participate in daily team huddles, compliance training sessions, performance reviews, and recognition activities
- Proactively resolve customer concerns or escalations, ensuring a seamless onboarding and banking experience
Experience & skills
- Minimum 1 year of sales experience, preferably in retail banking, insurance, or telecom sectors
- Bachelorās degree or equivalent in any discipline
- Strong understanding of personal banking products such as savings accounts, salary transfers, credit cards, and personal loans
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks including KYC, AML, and FATCA
- Experience in managing end-to-end sales cycles from lead generation to deal closure
- Proficient in using CRM tools and sales reporting systems
- Ability to perform financial needs analysis and provide customized solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Confident, persuasive, and target-oriented approach with a drive to exceed goals
- Knowledge of micro-marketing techniques and experience in field-based sales roles
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality service under pressure
