Job description
The Openshift Specialists Team is looking for a Specialist Solution Architect to join us in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You will serve as a technical expert and use your business insight to present executive IT leadership with a compelling business case to invest in Red Hatâs Application Services solutions. In this role, you will support Red Hat Application Services and OpenShift sales efforts. You'll collaborate with the Sales team and technical delivery teams to bring our customers the best solutions from across Red Hatâs OpenShift and Application Services, including Red Hat Runtimes, Integration and Middleware solutions suite. As a Specialist Solutions Architect, youâll need to have good communication and people skills, as you'll be a crucial part of the first major experience our customers have with Red Hat.

Key responsibilities
- Present the complete Red Hat OpenShift Application Platform and Middleware portfolio to new customers.
- Communicate between customers and Red Hat teams to shape decisions toward open source solutions.
- Serve as a trusted adviser at the client side and assist technology stakeholders in setting and delivering on expectations.
- Define overall solutions architecture and manage specifications and deployment strategy for open source solutions.
- Perform technical deep dives on individual Red Hat applications.
- Conduct compelling presentations and live demonstrations of OpenShift, Red Hat JBoss EAP, Quarkus, Red Hat Build of Keycloak, 3Scale by Red Hat, Red Hat Fuse and Red Hat AMQ, Developer Hub and Trusted Software Supply Chain.
- Provide technical credibility to customers and partners.
- Discover and analyze customer business and technical needs.
- Take the lead in answering technical portions of requests for proposal (RFPs) and information (RFIs).
- Create and demonstrate proofs of technology and proofs of concepts and other technical workshops.
- Collaborate with the business to evaluate goals, identify needs, and propose solutions using the whole portfolio of Red Hatâs solutions.
- Architect, design, and present multiproduct solutions to customers.
- Support the Sales team with recommendations for development and implementation of complex solutions to achieve sales quotas.
- Represent Red Hat in multiple technology and business forums.
- Meet revenue goals and deployment and service objectives while sustaining good relationships with existing and prospective customers.
Experience & skills
- 8+ years of experience working in a solutions sales, solutions architecture, or agile transformation consulting role.
- 2+ years of experience focused on modern application delivery frameworks and platforms like Kubernetes and Docker, Red Hat OpenShift, Apache Kafka, MuleSoft, Jenkins, Apache Spark, MongoDB, etc.
- Experience with SOA-type service integration (REST, SOAP, etc.).
- Experience with Red Hat Single Sign-on or Keycloak.
- Experience with containers and container management technologies like Red Hat OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with source code control platforms, preferably Git.
- Background in consultative customer engagement with a consulting or technology company or organization.
- Technical experience with enterprise middleware and container technologies.
- Understanding of and experience with agile methodologies and organizational and IT transformation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to executives at large companies.
- Ability to sell solutions in a multiproduct environment.
- Proven ability to work with global cross-functional teams and achieve success for customers.
- Ability to maintain a balance of strategic and tactical skills.
- Excellent balance of strategic and tactical skills with a high level of intellectual agility and capacity for original thought.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% (if required).
- Business-level communication and presentation skills in English and Arabic.
