Job description
The Project Planner supports the IMR (Inspection, Maintenance, and Repair) Division by managing planning and execution activities for offshore service projects in the UAE. Reporting to the Service Project Manager, the role is responsible for coordinating equipment receipt, inspection, refurbishment, and service execution from quotation to final delivery (quote to cash). The position ensures efficient scheduling, resource planning, inventory control, and service order management while maintaining close communication with customers and suppliers. The Project Planner plays a key role in maintaining operational flow, tracking KPIs, supporting cost control, and driving continuous process improvements within offshore wellhead and pressure control equipment services.

Key responsibilities
- Plan and execute MMR, IMR, and refurbishment activities for customer and company-owned assets from quotation to completion.
- Coordinate receipt, inspection, and disposition of equipment to ensure smooth service execution.
- Prepare cost estimates and customer quotations aligned with technical and commercial requirements.
- Create and manage service and sales orders, ensuring timely entry and release in business systems.
- Communicate technical scope of work clearly to internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
- Monitor equipment flow through the service process and track KPIs related to throughput and performance.
- Analyze supply and demand for inventory and long-lead parts, implementing corrective actions to prevent schedule delays or excess stock.
- Recommend sourcing decisions (make or buy) in line with operational sourcing strategies.
- Maintain and update project execution plans and monitor inventory flow across projects.
- Support service team prioritization efforts and recommend improvements to working methods and procedures.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorβs degree in Engineering or Diploma with equivalent experience (experience may compensate for formal education).
- 1β3 years of experience with surface wellhead or pressure control equipment in the oil and gas industry.
- Field service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of API standards and company processes/specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, ServiceMax, and InteServ systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, writing, and presentation skills.
- Good command of English (Arabic is an advantage).
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
