Job description
Cognizant is seeking a technically proficient Investment Accounting & Eagle STAR Specialist to support and manage the configuration of Eagle STAR systems for a wide range of asset classes. The ideal candidate will apply deep knowledge of investment accounting principles (such as IFRS) to ensure accurate reporting and compliance. This role involves hands-on work in system configuration, operational workflows, reconciliation processes, and financial reporting. You will work at the intersection of finance and technology, helping to streamline investment accounting operations, with a focus on portfolio structures, NAV calculations, fund processing, and Eagle data architecture. Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Apply a strong understanding of Investment Accounting Reporting Standards (e.g., IFRS) to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Configure and manage Eagle STAR modules including portfolio structures, transaction and cash booking, NAV and fee calculations, reporting and reconciliation.
- Handle daily and monthly operational processing activities using Eagle STAR.
- Implement and maintain system configuration and operational workflows within Eagle STAR.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate investment accounting for various asset classes.
- Ensure consistent data integrity and reconciliation across Eagle STAR systems and reporting tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational or configuration issues in the Eagle STAR environment.
- Support enhancements, testing, and upgrades of Eagle STAR components.
- Stay current on system best practices and assist in process improvement initiatives.
Experience & skills
- Hands-on experience with Eagle STAR implementation and configuration.
- Strong knowledge of investment accounting standards, especially IFRS.
- Deep understanding of STAR tables and Eagle data architecture.
- Familiarity with operational processes and reporting within Eagle STAR.
- Ability to manage complex system workflows related to fund NAVs, fees, and reconciliation.
- Experience with daily/monthly investment data processing activities.
- Background in asset servicing or fund accounting is preferred.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage large datasets and configuration rules.
- Comfort working cross-functionally in a technical and financial environment.
