Job description
The Director – International Programme Delivery is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of AD Ports Group’s international projects portfolio. The role oversees Programme Management, Project Controls, Construction Compliance, and Design Implementation functions to ensure projects are delivered in alignment with corporate governance, strategic objectives, and performance standards. The Director provides executive oversight across all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring quality, cost, schedule, and HSE compliance across diverse international markets. This position plays a critical leadership role in driving sustainable global expansion and enabling integrated growth across the Group’s five business clusters.

Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full lifecycle delivery of international programmes from initiation to commissioning and handover.
- Develop and implement Project Execution Plans aligned with corporate strategy and business implementation roadmaps.
- Oversee programme controls including scheduling, cost management, analytics, reporting, and forecasting.
- Provide strategic governance and ensure adherence to corporate standards and delivery frameworks.
- Manage contractor and service provider performance to ensure contractual and operational commitments are achieved.
- Support procurement processes including evaluation and selection of contractors and service providers.
- Identify and mitigate programme risks across regional and international contexts, advising senior leadership accordingly.
- Ensure effective interface management across projects and cross-functional teams.
- Provide HSE leadership across international construction activities in alignment with corporate HSSE governance.
- Deliver executive-level updates on programme progress, performance, and improvement initiatives.
- Lead organizational design, talent planning, recruitment, and KPI setting for Programme Delivery and Project Controls teams.
- Advise project sponsors and executive management on strategic alignment, risk exposure, and performance outcomes.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional certifications such as PMP, LEED, or Chartered Engineer are advantageous.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in programme or senior project management roles.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale construction projects internationally.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
- Background in both construction and consultancy organizations preferred.
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
- Advanced knowledge of project planning, execution, and governance frameworks.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Cultural awareness and adaptability in international business environments.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are highly advantageous.
