Job description
Reporting to the ELV Associate Director within the Engineering Department (Projects Delivery Division) at The Red Sea Development Services Company, the ELV Senior Design Manager is responsible for end-to-end technical oversight and review of consultant and contractor ELV design submissionsâcovering concepts, coordination, design documentation, contract administration, and liaison with asset contractorsâto deliver a standard suitable for a 6-star property. The role contributes to successful project completion by providing technical review services to project time and quality, leading participation in design progress and coordination meetings and workshops, liaising with local authorities, and preparing technical RFPs. Scope includes design review of ELV services such as fire and voice alarm systems, telecommunication services, extra low voltage systems, BMS, and related ELV utilities, with participation in design review meetings, preparation of meeting records, design review and progress reports, and input to value engineering exercises. The position maintains quality through adherence to Corporate Standards, TRSDC OH&S requirements, and relevant QA procedures. Professional development expectations include maintaining the highest technical standards, continual learning, decisive and proactive operation, independent and team-based work, deadline discipline under pressure, and affiliation with professional societies to stay current with technologies. Technical capabilities required include proficiency with Microsoft Office, sound knowledge of design software, ICT/ELV engineering across structured cabling, data networking, fibre optics, WiFi and wireless technologies, IT servers, and a basic understanding of CCTV, access control, intrusion alarm, audio video intercom, and public address systems and their integration across IT networks. The role demands a solid grasp of design and engineering procedures, quality orientation, time management, design experience across various building types, assertiveness and leadership to direct teams, and background experience in Design Engineering and hands-on ELV installation.

Key responsibilities
- Provide technical review services to ensure project completion and management meet time and quality requirements
- Lead participation in design progress and design coordination meetings and workshops across project stakeholders
- Liaise with local authorities to support approvals and compliance for ELV scopes
- Participate in preparation of technical RFPs to procure consultant and contractor services
- Review Consultant/Contractor-designed ELV services including fire and voice alarm, telecommunication services, extra low voltage systems, BMS, and related ELV utilities
- Participate in design review meetings and workshops to resolve coordination issues and finalize deliverables
- Prepare meeting records, design review reports, and design progress reports for project governance
- Provide input into value engineering exercises to optimize ELV solutions without compromising standards
- Ensure adherence to Corporate Standards, TRSDC OH&S requirements, and relevant QA procedures to maintain quality of work
- Maintain, develop, and retain high technical standards through continual professional development and learning
- Operate decisively and proactively, working independently or within teams, asking for assistance when required, and meeting deadlines under pressure
- Maintain affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs Degree in Electronics / Communication / IT discipline (B.Eng or B.Sc)
- 8+ years of relevant experience in design and delivery of projects within the consulting industry (preferable)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and sound knowledge of design software
- Experience in ICT/ELV engineering including structured cabling systems, data networking, fibre optic infrastructure, WiFi and various wireless technologies, and IT servers
- Basic understanding of CCTV, access control, intrusion alarm, audio video intercom, and public address systems and their operation across an IT network
- Good understanding of design and engineering procedures with a quality-oriented and time-managed approach
- Design experience in various types of buildings with assertiveness and aptitude to lead and direct
- Background experience in Design Engineering and hands-on ELV installation
- Commitment to Corporate Standards, OH&S requirements, and QA procedures, with ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
