Job description
The Senior Specialist ā Security Compliance & Assurance at AD Ports Group is responsible for assessing port security threats, evaluating the effectiveness of existing controls, and recommending enhancements to maintain safety and compliance. This role requires expertise in maritime security, with a focus on compliance with industry standards, threat intelligence monitoring, and training of security personnel. The position is based in Abu Dhabi and contributes to the strategic and operational resilience of port facilities.

Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive security threat assessments for AD Ports Group's port facilities and assets, identifying potential vulnerabilities and risks
- Monitor and analyze security threat intelligence to stay informed about emerging threats and trends in the maritime security landscape
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement security measures and countermeasures to mitigate identified threats and risks
- Assess the effectiveness of existing security controls and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on security enhancements to address identified threats and ensure the safety of port operations
- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and guidelines related to port security and compliance
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for port security personnel to enhance their understanding of security threats and compliance requirements
- Stay updated on the latest developments in port security regulations and industry best practices, advising the organization on necessary adjustments to remain compliant
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Security, Security Management, Risk Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field
- Master's degree is a plus
- Additional certifications or specialized training in port security, threat assessments, and compliance (e.g., Certified Port Security Officer, Certified Maritime Security Professional) would be advantageous
