Job description
The Senior Account Manager β Oil & Gas role is based in Doha, Qatar and operates in a hybrid work arrangement, with frequent in-country travel of approximately 35%. The position serves as the primary customer interface for Honeywell Process Solutions, responsible for developing business and managing strategic relationships with assigned customers in the Energy and Oil & Gas sector. The role requires a deep understanding of customer business models, operational drivers, organizational structures, and decision-making processes, combined with the ability to articulate and disseminate the value proposition of Honeywell solutions, including ICSS Solution and digitalization offerings, to drive measurable business outcomes. The Senior Account Manager engages customers at all organizational levels, including senior executives, technical buyers, and economic decision makers, ensuring consistent communication of Honeywell initiatives, strategic messages, and solution value. The position involves early engagement in customer buying cycles, diagnosing customer needs, tailoring solutions, managing complex sales processes, leading account growth strategies, driving sales campaigns and line-of-business strategic initiatives, and acting as a trusted advisor and ambassador for the customer internally and externally. The role also requires leveraging cross-functional resources, guiding executive sponsor engagement, influencing peers without direct authority, and operating effectively within a complex organizational environment to pursue orders and deliver sustained growth across industrial process industries in Qatar.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and sustain long-term customer relationships while acting as the primary customer interface for assigned Oil & Gas and Energy sector accounts.
- Engage customers at all organizational levels, including senior and executive decision makers, to build strategic and long-term relationships.
- Drive early engagement in the customer buying process by diagnosing needs and tailoring solutions to match business requirements.
- Manage day-to-day sales activities and strategic objectives while balancing superior customer service with strategic account planning.
- Deliver quarterly results and manage long-term account goals through structured sales execution.
- Identify new sales opportunities and provide consultative support by building strong value propositions for Honeywell solutions.
- Serve as the customerβs ambassador, trusted advisor, and advocate, acting as the focal point for relationship strategies, account plans, sales plans, proposal strategies, and contract negotiations.
- Drive sales campaigns and line-of-business strategic initiatives to support revenue growth.
- Plan and execute long-term account growth strategies to expand the assigned customer base.
- Engage industrial customers across process industries through regular face-to-face meetings and proactive customer acquisition.
- Leverage cross-functional organizational resources to address customer drivers and initiatives in a consultative manner.
- Guide and coordinate management and executive sponsor interactions with customers to strengthen relationships.
- Motivate and influence peers and internal stakeholders to align resources and pursue orders effectively.
- Travel frequently across Qatar, approximately 35% of the time, to support customer engagement and business development activities.
Experience & skills
- Hold an Engineering University Degree.
- Demonstrate experience in solution sales within the Process Automation industry, specifically in Oil & Gas.
- Show a proven track record of success within the Oil & Gas industry and business environment.
- Exhibit experience building and maintaining customer relationships at multiple organizational levels.
- Demonstrate experience in complex sales, including early engagement in customer buying cycles, senior-level engagement, executive relationship building, team selling, and opportunity planning.
- Possess an understanding of the value proposition of ICSS Solution and digitalization for the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of Oil & Gas industry dynamics and market trends.
- Show financial and business acumen relevant to strategic account management.
- Demonstrate account management capability, including the use of market and marketing data to build successful account plans.
- Maintain good knowledge of commercial terms, contract terms, and related commercial frameworks.
- Have experience working within a complex organizational structure, with marketing and project management experience considered desirable.
