Job description
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring all inbound deliveries are checked before being received, inspecting products to meet Panda specifications and preventing sub-standard items from entering the food chain. The role ensures compliance with local (SASO/SFDA) and international quality and food safety standards. The inspector will assess vendor vehicles, product temperatures, storage practices, and pest control systems, making recommendations to accept or reject deliveries based on specifications.

Key responsibilities
- Schedule and prepare for receiving fresh deliveries for the day.
- Follow DC receiving SOP for product receiving plan and apply sampling plan for inspection.
- Check temperature of vendor vehicles and products before offloading and dispatch.
- Perform product inspections and recommend acceptance or rejection based on specifications.
- Capture non-conformities with pictures and report them to the TL.
- Accurately complete receiving logs and checklists during inspections.
- Confirm proper product storage practices according to categories and conditions.
- Ensure conformance to Panda Receiving Processes.
- Check Brix and firmness for relevant fruits per specifications.
- Monitor pest control systems in the DC to ensure no pest infection.
Experience & skills
- Diploma required, college level preferable.
- Familiarity with QA regulations set by Corporate QA Team.
- Good level of English language, Arabic an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Ability to recommend improvements to standards and processes.
- Ability to reject deliveries with technical justification.
- Adequate literacy skills including computer, email, reporting, digital camera, industrial thermometers.
- Previous experience in Fresh, Produce, Grocery Food field is mandatory.
