Job description
Six days a week, Monday through Saturday, with Sunday off subject to business needs, this Physics and Mathematics Teacher role is built to help students move through IB, IGCSE, GCSE, AS/A Level, and AP examinations with better grades and more confidence. You will teach across all these curricula, working with the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) at Standard Level and Higher Level, Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel AS/A Level specifications, and AP Physics and AP Calculus depending on which students need support. Lessons get shaped around each student's specific gaps, so designing lesson plans, revision programmes, and examination strategies matters more than following one fixed syllabus. Complex mathematical and scientific concepts need explaining in ways that stay clear without losing academic depth, whether the topic is calculus, mechanics, or advanced physics. Mock examinations, topic tests, and past-paper sessions run under real examination conditions, and marking that work accurately, with detailed feedback and follow up lessons, takes up a good part of the week. Problem-solving, data analysis, mathematical modelling, and practical concepts come up constantly across both subjects. Parents and guardians expect regular updates, so communication about progress, targets, attendance, and upcoming assessments needs to stay proactive. New joiners complete an unpaid in-house training programme lasting three to seven days before moving onto the payroll, covering academic standards, teaching methodology, and examination practices.
