Job description
Serve as a strategic Senior Manager, HR Business Partner within a leading cryptocurrency exchange (OKX), acting as a trusted advisor to leadership and a culture architect for global commercial teams. Partner with senior business leaders to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives as the organization scales internationally, covering performance management, organizational design, change management, compensation/commission management, cultural integration, and talent programs. Champion employee engagement and a positive, productive work environment; leverage data analytics to inform HR decisions and measure program impact; provide guidance and coaching to leaders at all levels to drive high-performing organizations. Lead HR projects tied to team success (goal setting, performance reviews, development planning); manage end-to-end HR for assigned business units including collaboration with Talent Acquisition, onboarding of new employees, and navigating employee relations. Operate effectively with global, remote teams across time zones in a fast-paced, high-growth tech/financial services environment; influence C-suite stakeholders; balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution; and contribute to shaping company culture and a sense of belonging and collaboration. Proficiency in conversational Mandarin is a plus for interactions with stakeholders in Mandarin-speaking countries; knowledge of cryptocurrency regulatory compliance and passion for the crypto space are nice to have.

Key responsibilities
- Partner with senior business leaders to design and implement strategic HR initiatives (performance management, org design, change management, compensation/commission, cultural integration).

- Leverage data analytics to inform HR decisions and measure the impact of HR programs and initiatives.
- Provide trusted guidance and coaching to leaders at all levels to enable effective talent management and high-performing teams.
- Lead HR projects related to team success, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.
- Manage all HR aspects for assigned business unit(s), including partnership with Talent Acquisition, onboarding, and employee relations.
- Collaborate with global, remote teams across time zones, aligning HR solutions with business transformation goals.
- Contribute to modern recruitment strategies alongside Talent Acquisition to help accelerate business growth.
Experience & skills
- 7+ years of HR experience (HR Business Partner, OD, C&B, and/or Talent Development), ideally within high-growth tech or financial services.
- Experience partnering with C-suite executives in commercial client groups (preferred).
- Data-centric mindset with the ability to analyze HR data and convert insights into actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically while operating hands-on to advise the business beyond HR operations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Experience working effectively with global, remote teams across time zones.
- Passion for building and shaping company culture and fostering belonging and collaboration.
- Proficiency in conversational Mandarin is a plus.
- Nice to have: experience with performance management systems and compensation & benefits programs in fast-paced environments.
- Nice to have: knowledge of regulatory compliance related to cryptocurrency and a genuine passion for the crypto space.
