Job description
The Director - Operations is responsible for implementing a successful Supply Chain Finance (SCF) and SME model within the bank. This role involves managing application systems, gathering business requirements, tracking customer issues, and reporting. The position entails overseeing IT-business coordination, vendor management, system enhancements, and ensuring SLA adherence. The role also includes extensive involvement in supporting and configuring Trade and SCF systems, understanding Islamic banking products, and working on core banking platforms such as Ethix. The candidate is expected to manage multiple projects, close audit issues, and lead enhancements across product life cycles.

Key responsibilities
- Implement successful Supply Chain Finance and SME models in the bank
- Facilitate requirement gathering, functional specifications, and data analysis for ADIB
- Manage projects and liaise with customers to understand business requirements
- Track customer issues and provide regular management reports
- Interface with IT infrastructure teams, SMEs, and project teams
- Document and articulate business requirements and change requests
- Manage vendor SLAs and ensure development quality
- Oversee system analysis, functional design, and documentation of Cash Management applications
- Coordinate execution of projects and provide technical support to business
- Propose product improvements and technical recommendations
- Mitigate risks and resolve audit issues related to applications and processes
- Track and manage multiple initiatives, BAU requests, and CRS items
- Monitor and close incident and problem tickets within SLA limits
- Review vendor proposals for completeness and quality
- Provide 24/7 support to Trade/SCF teams and applications
- Gather and manage new requirements for SCF and Trade systems
- Support technical changes and enhancements in SCF applications
- Define accounting and posting rules for all Trade/SCF instruments
- Participate in SIT/UAT cycles and stakeholder management
Experience & skills
- Proven experience with Core Banking and Trade/SCF systems
- Deep understanding of Islamic banking products including Murabaha, Istisna, LME, Wakala, Ijara
- Hands-on implementation and support of Core and Trade/SCF applications
- Familiarity with product workflows and life cycles
- Experience defining accounting and posting rules for Trade/SCF instruments
- Knowledge of the Ethix system
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
- Experience supporting SIT/UAT processes and managing stakeholders
