The Manager, Compliance (Regulatory Compliance β Payments & FinTech) at Tabby is responsible for supporting the Head of Compliance in ensuring full adherence to applicable laws, regulations and standards within a complex regulatory landscape in the Payments and FinTech sector. Tabby, a leading GCC FinTech with over 20 million users, $14 billion in annual transaction volume, and partnerships with over 40,000 brands, operates in a highly regulated environment requiring robust regulatory compliance oversight. This role is not a pure AML/CFT role and focuses on regulatory change management, licence applications, regulatory reporting, business advisory and compliance risk assessments. The role holder maintains up-to-date regulatory compliance policies and procedures, breach registers, violation registers, and regulatory documentation to ensure strong governance and oversight. Responsibilities include supporting regulatory change management by maintaining oversight of developments impacting business activities, representing regulatory compliance oversight internally and externally to regulators, auditors and partners, and supporting expansion plans including new license applications. The Manager conducts regular compliance risk assessments to identify and evaluate regulatory risks, develops and implements mitigation strategies, manages the regulatory library, ensures dissemination and implementation of new and existing regulations, and collaborates with Risk, Legal, Operations and IT to ensure coordinated regulatory compliance. The role requires familiarity with regulations published by the CBUAE, particularly within the Payments sector including Payment Service Providers, E-money, SVF and digital banking. Additional responsibilities include supporting investigations of compliance-related incidents and breaches, managing internal and external breach registers and violation registers to avoid fines, ensuring timely submission of regulatory reports, preparing committee and board papers, and providing regulatory advisory guidance to Product Managers and Engineers in a practical, actionable and value-added manner.
