Job description
Deliveroo is seeking a Business Development Manager to build and maintain relationships with restaurant partners in Abu Dhabi, onboarding them onto the Deliveroo platform. The role requires expertise in sales prospecting, pitching, and closing deals, managing partner onboarding efficiently, and ensuring partner success within the first eight weeks. Responsibilities include mapping the restaurant landscape, demonstrating Deliveroo's technology and value proposition, and overseeing early performance KPIs. The position emphasizes knowledge of restaurant economics, deal structuring, and commercial analysis to drive growth. The candidate must work closely with retail partners to develop 'best in class' value propositions for Deliveroo customers, attend industry events and meetups, and contribute to the regional pipeline of new business. Performance is measured through signed partners and the success of new onboarded partners.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Map, prospect, pitch, and close new restaurant partners across the Abu Dhabi region
- Communicate with retail partners via physical visits, emails, calls, and social media to demonstrate Deliveroo's technology and value proposition
- Oversee the partner onboarding process to ensure it is quick, efficient, and seamless
- Ensure partner success within the first eight weeks of signing
- Attend meetups and industry events to identify and engage potential partners
- Monitor and track KPIs including number of partners signed and partner performance in the first three months
Experience & skills
- 2-3 years of sales experience with demonstrable sales track record
- Experience in the restaurant sector is a plus
- Proven experience in prospecting, pitching, and closing deals
- Ability to negotiate and structure win-win deals for partners and Deliveroo
- Commercially knowledgeable with understanding of delivery economics for retail partners and Deliveroo
- Ability to demonstrate product and industry knowledge to clients
- Ownership mindset with ability to work towards demanding targets
- Interest in food and retail industry
- Tenacious and motivated attitude
- Based in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi
