As a Team Lead Personal Shopper at instashop, headquartered in Dubai and a leader in online local marketplaces in the UAE and Egypt, the role involves leading the instashop personal shopping experience regionally. The position requires overseeing operations, identifying improvement areas, developing operational strategies, monitoring SLAs and KPIs, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The incumbent will manage and motivate the Personal Shopper team and pickers, maintain an accurate database of penalties, and address store-level complaints effectively. The role emphasizes commercial acumen, analytics interpretation, strategy implementation, operational efficiency, regional team leadership, user experience optimization, and overall process improvement, leveraging business management expertise and experience in the e-commerce industry.

Key responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the personal shopper team across multiple regions, ensuring all processes are streamlined for optimal efficiency and service quality.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and improvement areas, implement process enhancements, and track their impact on team performance and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Lead, coach, and motivate a diverse regional team of personal shoppers and pickers, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and excellence.
- Develop detailed operational strategies, translating high-level objectives into actionable tasks, workflows, and KPIs for the team to enhance the user shopping experience.
- Monitor and evaluate performance through SLAs and KPIs, ensuring that all client commitments and internal performance standards are consistently met or exceeded.
- Maintain and update a comprehensive database of penalties, infractions, and performance issues for personal shopper pickers, using data to drive corrective actions and process improvements.
- Resolve store-level and customer complaints promptly, coordinating with relevant departments to address issues effectively and prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with senior management to align regional personal shopping operations with broader business goals, market trends, and customer expectations.
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of personal shopping or equivalent roles within the e-commerce or online marketplace industry, including workflows, standards, and best practices.
- Proven experience in managing and leading teams, with a track record of improving performance, productivity, and user satisfaction in regional operations.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in business management or a closely related field, or demonstrate equivalent professional experience in operations leadership.
- Possess commercial acumen, including the ability to analyze data, interpret metrics, and develop strategies to achieve or exceed business targets.
- Exhibit exceptional organizational skills, time management, and the ability to prioritize tasks across multiple regions and teams simultaneously.
- Skilled in problem-solving complex operational issues, making data-driven decisions, and implementing corrective measures efficiently.
- Experience with monitoring and ensuring compliance with operational standards, SLAs, and KPIs, driving continuous improvement in service delivery.
