Job description
FTI Consulting is hiring a Director or Senior Director for its Restructuring practice in Dubai, as part of its globally recognized Corporate Finance & Restructuring division. This role is tailored for an experienced financial advisor who can lead complex restructuring, insolvency, and financial advisory projects for clients across sectors. You will work closely with senior stakeholders such as boards, lenders, and investors to develop turnaround strategies, assess business viability, manage liquidity crises, and execute restructuring transactions. This is a high-impact, client-facing role within a fast-paced, collaborative consulting environment with significant room for leadership growth and practice development.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Deliver financial restructuring engagements including business plan assessments and financial model testing
- Lead short-term cash flow reviews and support restructuring plans for clients in crisis or transition
- Execute insolvency processes including trading administrations, pre-packs, and liquidations
- Develop and present restructuring strategies to management teams, lenders, and stakeholders
- Produce high-quality reports, pitch documents, and strategic recommendations for clients
- Support new business generation through market research, opportunity tracking, and proposal development
- Attend client meetings and industry events to build relationships and increase brand visibility
- Coach and mentor junior staff and foster knowledge-sharing within the team
- Collaborate across departments and with global teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Contribute to thought leadership and participate in professional development initiatives
Experience & skills
- Degree in a numerate subject (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics)
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification (first-time passes required)
- Strong experience in financial advisory, restructuring, or insolvency
- Proven analytical and strategic capabilities in turnaround planning, financial analysis, and business viability assessment
- Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder communications and lead client engagements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver clear, concise recommendations
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure consulting environment and manage multiple deadlines
- Experience preparing client-facing deliverables including presentations and reports
- Previous exposure to the UAE or broader GCC market is a plus
