Job description
The Assistant Relationship Manager - Private Banking (Global External Asset Management Coverage) at Emirates NBD plays a key client servicing and revenue-generating role within the Private Banking Front Office. As the most junior relationship manager, the position focuses on developing existing client relationships, identifying potential prospects, and converting them into clients. The role involves collaborating closely with the Private Banking Investments Team to deliver tailored solutions, conducting quarterly account reviews with Investment Advisors for high-balance accounts, and preparing investment proposals. Responsibilities also include handling operational aspects such as account opening, maintenance, and transactions. Candidates must bring 1–2 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Banking, and demonstrate strong understanding of private banking products, compliance, due diligence, AML requirements, and standard banking procedures. Familiarity with legal structures such as offshore accounts and trusts is required, as well as strong business etiquette within the MENA markets. - Develop existing client relationships with guidance from Team Leader or Senior Director
- Identify and prospect high-net-worth individuals to grow client base
- Liaise with the Private Banking Investments Team to deliver customized banking solutions
- Conduct quarterly account reviews in collaboration with Investment Advisors for qualifying accounts
- Prepare and extend investment proposals resulting from account reviews
- Manage operational issues including account opening, maintenance, and transactions
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Banking
- 1–2 years of related experience
- Existing book of relationships with high-net-worth individuals is an advantage
- Experience in MENA market frameworks and business etiquette
- Basic knowledge of assets, liabilities, capital markets, portfolio management, and investment products
- Understanding of compliance, due diligence, AML, and standard banking procedures
- General knowledge of legal structures including offshore accounts and trusts
