Job description
The Key Account Specialist at Tamara is responsible for nurturing and strengthening relationships with strategic merchant partners, ensuring their satisfaction and success. The role involves guiding merchants through onboarding, teaching and familiarizing them with products and features, creating strategic plans to grow their business, analyzing merchant performance using data, and conducting business review meetings. The specialist acts as the primary contact for assigned merchants, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, operations, and analytics to deliver a seamless experience. This role also emphasizes the collection and sharing of merchant feedback, developing success stories, enhancing processes for partner success, and contributing to the growth of Tamara's core business and product offerings. Ideal candidates are strategic thinkers, customer-oriented, adaptable, and able to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic fintech environment.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Guide and assist merchants through the process of starting with Tamara, collaborating closely with merchant and internal teams
- Teach and onboard new merchants on Tamara products and features
- Create plans to help merchants grow their business, boost satisfaction, and expand partnership value
- Build and maintain strong relationships with partners through meetings and ongoing communication
- Manage day-to-day interactions with merchants and conduct regular business review meetings
- Monitor merchant satisfaction and implement retention measures
- Use data analytics to evaluate merchant performance, address concerns, and share results with partners
- Develop success stories and provide actionable insights to relevant teams
- Collect and communicate merchant feedback to internal teams for product and process improvements
- Collaborate with analytics and other cross-functional teams to generate insights for partner benefit
- Create and implement plans to develop and enhance merchant accounts
- Ensure a smooth merchant experience by coordinating across various internal teams
- Enhance internal processes to improve partner success and satisfaction
- Contribute to Tamara's growth through support of core business expansion and product offerings
Experience & skills
- 0–2 years of experience in internships, sales, account management, or other customer-facing roles
- Customer-oriented with the ability to establish strong relationships with assigned merchants
- Strategic thinker with excellent project management skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
- Adaptable to changing requirements and capable of managing multiple parallel activities
