Job description
Flexible hours are part of the deal here, but the real shape of this Principal, Disciplinary Engineering and Science role comes from the multidisciplinary studies you lead across geoscience and petroleum evaluation for Baker Hughes clients. Geophysics, asset evaluation, and due diligence studies sit at the center of the job, spanning oil and gas, energy, and subsurface consulting engagements. You interpret and integrate seismic, well, and field performance data to assess hydrocarbon potential, then translate that analysis into strategic recommendations for clients, investors, and stakeholders. Technical due diligence for mergers and acquisitions, farm-ins and farm-outs, financing, and asset divestments runs through your desk, alongside reviews of reserves and resources estimates against industry reporting guidelines. Multiple projects get managed simultaneously, each with its own execution plan, risk register, and stakeholder communication plan to keep delivery on scope, budget, and schedule. Geophysicists, geologists, reservoir engineers, production engineers, and economists all report into the multidisciplinary teams you coordinate. Client relationships extend beyond the technical work too, since you act as the primary point of contact throughout project execution and contribute to proposals, workshops, and technical presentations. Quality, schedule, and client satisfaction stay the constant thread running through every study, from inception to final delivery.
