Job description
Lead and verify the implementation of ADNOC HSE Standards, HSE Policies, and associated procedures and guidelines. Provide professional advice on Industrial Health & Hygiene technical issues to enhance Occupational Health performance across ADNOC. Oversee risk management, health hazard assessments, audits, training, and compliance with UAE federal laws and international standards.

Key responsibilities
- Lead development, tracking and implementation of ADNOC HSE Strategic Objectives in Occupational Health & Hygiene management
- Deliver technical inputs in Occupational Health & Hygiene prevention, technical problem solving, and risk management
- Oversee planning of activities for improvement of Industrial Health & Hygiene functions across ADNOC facilities
- Guide and recommend on occupational health impact assessment studies such as PHSSER and HAZOP
- Analyze trends and potential occupational health hazards and develop actions to manage impacts
- Provide professional advice on prevention of injuries/illness and contractor health management systems
- Lead development and review of occupational health related reports and bio-markers
- Review and advise on findings of HSE and OHMS audits, inspections, and investigations
- Develop and implement occupational health educational programs and training
- Investigate occupational illness, Non Accidental Death, and welfare incidents, and provide recommendations
- Verify classification of HSE incidents across ADNOC companies and provide prevention recommendations
- Review occupational health & hygiene surveys including heat stress, noise, chemical exposure, asbestos, lighting, radiation, ergonomics, fatigue, and psychosocial surveys
- Ensure availability of adequate risk control measures and recommend protection methods
- Stay updated with UAE federal laws and international standards related to Occupational Health
- Supervise, train, and develop assigned staff to meet functional objectives
- Provide budget input, implement approved budgets, and highlight variances
- Implement policies, processes, systems, and standards to support work programs
- Contribute to performance objectives and continuous improvement initiatives
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, legislation, and sustainability guidelines
- Prepare MIS and progress reports for company management
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās Degree in Health Science, Engineering, or Medicine
- 10 years of professional experience in HSE and Occupational Health & Hygiene, with 4-5 years in oil & gas or similar industries
- Postgraduate Membership/Fellowship/Associate Fellowship in Occupational Health or Hygiene advantageous
- Proficiency in English and strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
- Experience managing within an HSE Occupational Health framework
- Strong skills in managing organizational change
- Valid UAE Driving License
- Technical competencies in case management, health screening, occupational health risk management, incident investigation, HSE audits, food and water safety, first aid and pandemic management
