Job description
The Technical Program Manager, AMET 3PL and Direct Imports at Amazon is responsible for designing and delivering scalable supply chain automation solutions that support operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making. This role involves building full-stack applications, managing large-scale data systems, and deploying machine learning solutions to improve forecasting and supply chain performance. The position requires collaboration with engineering, data science, and operations teams to develop automation systems and optimize logistics processes. The Technical Program Manager owns the full software development lifecycle, from architecture design to deployment and operations, while driving innovation using AWS technologies and modern development frameworks.

Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy full-stack applications that optimize supply chain operations and automation
- Build scalable backend services using modern programming languages such as Java, Python, and Node.js on AWS infrastructure
- Develop responsive frontend applications using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern web technologies
- Architect and implement data pipelines using lakehouse architecture and Apache Iceberg
- Work with large-scale data platforms including Amazon Redshift, S3, and EMR to support supply chain analytics
- Perform data mining and analysis to uncover insights and improve operational performance
- Design and deploy machine learning models for forecasting and supply chain optimization
- Own the full software development lifecycle including design, development, deployment, and operational support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and data science
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical strategy planning
- Develop automated systems to improve forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency
- Drive innovation using modern technologies to enhance supply chain automation
Experience & skills
- 3+ years of technical program or product management experience
- 2+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years of project management experience including scope, schedule, and risk management
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience programming in languages such as Python, Java, C++, or similar
- Experience building user interfaces using frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
- Knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
- Experience working with machine learning tools such as TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Spark MLlib, or similar
- Experience working with AWS cloud services and distributed systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams
- Experience gathering and analyzing data from multiple sources
