Job description
The Store Supervisor in GMG Sports Retail is responsible for driving sales performance and operational excellence in the store. The role oversees the store team to ensure delivery of exceptional customer service, adherence to operational standards, and achievement of sales targets. Key accountabilities include monitoring sales performance, maintaining visual merchandising standards, executing store operations such as cash handling, inventory management, and loss prevention, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The position involves providing insights from sales reporting, coordinating promotions, and ensuring store cleanliness and appearance. Additionally, the role requires developing and mentoring store staff, managing performance through goal setting and coaching, and fostering a culture of feedback to enhance team capabilities and achieve business objectives.

Key responsibilities
- Support the achievement of annual store sales targets through team performance and operational excellence.
- Ensure proper store coverage and scheduling to maintain high levels of customer service.
- Conduct store operations audits to enforce compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Oversee after-sales processes and ensure adherence to repair/return policies.
- Address customer needs and complaints, ensuring exceptional service and identifying future customer requirements.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards according to brand policies.
- Ensure accurate promotions and pricing aligned with company standards.
- Generate and analyze sales reports to maximize stock potential and monitor performance of collections.
- Execute store operations including cash handling, inventory management, and record keeping.
- Ensure compliance with loss prevention, fraud, and theft prevention standards.
- Maintain store interior and exterior cleanliness and adherence to company and brand standards.
- Direct team adherence to SOPs and store appearance guidelines.
- Perform cashier duties as required.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory retail role.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Expertise in retail industry operations.
- Strong product/category knowledge relevant to sports retail.
- Customer-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in MS Office and related tools.
