oin Barclays as a Private Banker within the Dubai-based Private Banking team, focusing on the Abu Dhabi market, to deliver bespoke banking and investment solutions to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. Acting as a trusted advisor, the role provides bespoke banking services, lending, wealth structuring, and a world-class range of investment products across all asset classes. Responsibilities include managing and growing a portfolio by understanding client financial goals and risk appetite; serving as the primary point of contact; conducting regular portfolio reviews; becoming a subject matter expert for banking products, credit advice, investment knowledge, and complex client queries; delivering high-quality bespoke advice and negotiating optimal commercial outcomes; identifying and onboarding new clients via networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships; executing tailored strategies to attract and retain wealthy clients; attending client events and wealth management forums; advising on portfolio management, estate planning, succession, and offshore structuring; and keeping clients informed on market trends, economic updates, and investment opportunities. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional client servicing with HNW clients, experience controlling and monitoring risk within a client book, strong knowledge of global economic and political conditions and competitor activity, and understanding of investments, banking, and trust concepts (asset allocation on structured and managed portfolios, brokerage, deposit and loan solutions, basic trust and estate products, and wealth planning opportunities). Desirable capabilities include excellent knowledge of regulated credit agreements, investment advice, deposits, portfolio management services, and financial promotions, along with high aptitude for the digital landscape to meet evolving client needs.

- Manage and grow a portfolio of HNW/UHNW clients in the Abu Dhabi market by understanding financial goals and risk appetite.
- Act as primary point of contact delivering exceptional service and tailored financial advice across banking, lending, and investments.
- Conduct regular reviews of client investment and financial portfolios to optimize outcomes.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on banking products, credit advice, investment knowledge, and complex client queries.
- Deliver bespoke advice and negotiate optimal commercial terms to maximize client value.
- Identify and onboard new clients through networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships to drive assets and revenues.
- Develop and execute strategies to attract and retain wealthy clients across the region.
- Attend client events and wealth management forums to expand opportunity pipelines and strengthen relationships.
- Advise on portfolio management, estate planning, succession, and offshore structuring where relevant.
- Provide ongoing insights on market trends, economic updates, and investment opportunities to clients.
Experience & skills
- Previous experience working as a Private Banker with a client base of over USD 300m within the Abu Dhabi market.
- Demonstrable excellence in client servicing and relationship management with high-net-worth clients.
- Proven experience controlling and monitoring risk within a client book.
- Strong knowledge of global economic and political conditions, current affairs, and competitor activity and their client impact.
- Experience or demonstrated understanding of investments, banking, and trust concepts, including asset allocation (structured and managed portfolios), brokerage accounts, deposit and loan solutions, basic trust and estate products, and identification of wealth planning opportunities.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing regulatory and technological environment.
