Job description
The Business Development Manager – Personal Banking Loans (DST) role is responsible for selling the entire range of personal banking products to retail prospects and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients of the bank. The role focuses on achieving monthly sales targets through structured prospecting, including phone calls, face-to-face meetings, kiosk activities, and other direct marketing initiatives. The position manages a portfolio of approved companies, develops key contacts to drive cross-sell opportunities, and supports payroll acquisition. The role requires end-to-end ownership of customer applications to ensure turnaround time adherence and quality standards, strict compliance with bank policies, and full adherence to regulatory requirements including KYC, FATCA, AML CTF, and third-party channel guidelines. The Business Development Manager records all sales activities through daily sales reports and CRM systems, participates in team huddles, training, compliance and fraud programs, and upholds the highest ethical and integrity standards, escalating any suspected breaches to senior management or governance as required.

- Achieve assigned monthly sales targets for personal banking products
- Prospect targeted retail segments through phone calls, face-to-face visits, kiosk activities, and direct marketing initiatives
- Present and sell personal banking products and services in an ethical, structured, and professional manner
- Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers and companies to enhance cross-sell opportunities
- Relationship-manage a portfolio of approved companies by developing and maintaining key contacts
- Handle customer objections to secure sales or payroll transfers
- Ensure end-to-end customer turnaround time is met for all submitted applications with required quality standards
- Ensure strict compliance with bank policies related to products, customer KYC, FATCA, AML CTF, and third-party channels
- Record all sales activities in daily sales reports and update CRM systems for leads and contacts
- Participate in team activities including morning huddles, training, coaching, compliance and fraud training, and internal initiatives
- Maintain the highest ethical standards and escalate any suspected or actual policy breaches to senior management or governance
Experience & skills
- Hold a graduate qualification in any discipline
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of banking sales experience
- Demonstrate knowledge of retail banking products, service policies, and processes
- Exhibit experience in direct sales, relationship management, and cross-selling within retail banking
- Show ability to ensure document completeness, policy adherence, and turnaround time compliance
