Jazeera Airways is seeking an Assistant Manager - Product (Catering & On-Board Retail) responsible for supporting the efficient and effective delivery of catering and on-board retail services across the airlineâs operations. The role focuses on assisting in the management of Catering Facility operations, on-board product selection, vendor coordination, and the commercial performance of inflight sales to ensure high quality standards, cost efficiency, and an enhanced customer experience aligned with Jazeera Airwaysâ objectives. The position supports daily Catering Facility operations to ensure smooth service delivery for all flights, coordinates timely delivery of food and non-food supplies, and monitors preparation, loading, and offloading activities to aircraft. It contributes to the development and maintenance of galley loading plans and trolley packing plans for all inflight products offered for sale on-board, supports crew meals management including menu planning and supply, and coordinates with vendors and suppliers for J9 Shop and duty-free offerings including evaluation of new products. The role assists in contract management processes, pricing negotiations, and procurement coordination to maintain quality and cost efficiency, supports review of J CafĂ© inflight menu options to ensure product quality and consistency, prepares periodic reports covering catering and on-board retail performance including sales analysis and cost monitoring, monitors sales performance by route and passenger profile to optimize trolley loading and wastage control, reviews Customer Satisfaction Survey feedback to implement improvement actions, coordinates LPO creation, invoice verification and supplier payment follow-ups with Finance, monitors competitor airline catering and retail offerings and pricing trends, collaborates with Marketing, Ground Operations, Finance, and Cabin Services, and ensures compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements.

- Support and oversee daily Catering Facility operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and timely service delivery for all flights, coordinate the receipt and distribution of food and non-food supplies, monitor preparation, packing, loading, and offloading activities to aircraft, and ensure adherence to safety standards, quality requirements, and operational schedules.
- Develop, review, and maintain comprehensive galley loading plans and trolley packing plans for all inflight products offered for sale on-board, ensuring optimal product availability, accurate stock levels, compliance with aircraft configurations, and alignment with route demand and passenger profile analysis.
- Manage crew meals planning and supply across all flights by coordinating menu planning, forecasting consumption, ensuring appropriate allocation, and maintaining product quality and consistency in line with operational and service standards.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for J9 Shop and duty-free offerings, evaluate new on-board retail and catering products, support product selection decisions, and assist in managing supplier performance to ensure compliance with agreed specifications, quality benchmarks, and delivery timelines.
- Support contract management processes including procurement coordination, preparation and review of contractual documentation, pricing negotiations, cost comparisons, and supplier evaluations to achieve cost efficiency while maintaining high quality standards.
- Prepare detailed periodic reports on catering and on-board retail performance including sales analysis, cost monitoring, route-wise performance evaluation, passenger profile trends, and wastage control metrics, and provide data-driven recommendations to improve commercial performance.
- Monitor sales performance by route and passenger profile to optimize trolley loading, minimize wastage, maximize revenue opportunities, and ensure alignment between supply levels and demand patterns.
- Review customer feedback and Customer Satisfaction Survey results related to catering and on-board retail services, identify service gaps, and support the implementation of corrective and continuous improvement actions to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Coordinate LPO creation, invoice verification, and supplier payment follow-ups with Finance to ensure accurate documentation, timely processing, budget control, and financial compliance.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking by monitoring airline catering and on-board retail offerings, pricing trends, and product innovations, and provide insights to support strategic product positioning.
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Aviation Management or equivalent, and possess 8â10 years of progressive experience in airline catering, inflight services, or a similar operational/commercial role within the aviation sector.
- Demonstrate strong commercial and financial acumen with proven experience in sales analysis, cost monitoring, commercial performance analysis, pricing negotiations, wastage control strategies, and revenue optimization for on-board retail and catering operations.
- Exhibit hands-on experience in vendor management, procurement processes, contract negotiation, supplier performance monitoring, LPO creation, invoice verification, and supplier payment follow-ups, ensuring cost efficiency and quality assurance.
- Demonstrate operational expertise in managing Catering Facility operations, coordinating food and non-food logistics, preparing galley loading plans and trolley packing plans, managing crew meals planning and supply, and evaluating new products for J9 Shop and duty-free offerings.
- Possess experience in analyzing Customer Satisfaction Survey results, monitoring passenger profile trends, optimizing trolley loading based on route demand, and preparing detailed management reports to support data-driven decision-making.
- Show ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders including Marketing, Ground Operations, Finance, and Cabin Services to ensure operational efficiency and alignment with company objectives.
- Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office applications for reporting, data analysis, documentation, and performance tracking, along with excellent English communication and writing skills, high attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining quality standards and compliance with safety requirements.
