Job description
The Global Trade Senior Manager - Indirect Tax (KSA) at EY will be responsible for advising leading organizations on how to move goods and services more effectively around the world while ensuring compliance with international trade laws and regulations. Based in Jeddah, this senior role involves providing expert advice on global trade regulations, tariffs, and customs procedures, analyzing client supply chains to identify cost savings, efficiency improvements, and risk mitigation opportunities, and leveraging Free Trade Agreements and Special Programs to reduce costs. The position also includes supporting clients during post-clearance audit programs, preparing responses to customs authorities, and using EY's technology platforms to deliver innovative trade management, compliance monitoring, and reporting solutions. The role requires staying updated on global trade regulatory changes, building and maintaining strong client relationships, understanding client business models to deliver tailored solutions, and collaborating with EY's Tax, Advisory, and Assurance teams for comprehensive service delivery. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Law, or related fields, with preference given to those with Big 4 experience, customs and trade advisory expertise, and advanced qualifications such as CPA, ACA, CA, CMA, SOCPA, Law qualification, or CTA. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), experience in multicultural teams, and a business-savvy, entrepreneurial approach are essential.

Key responsibilities
- Work as part of a worldwide network of professional advisors, sharing responsibility and maintaining communication with senior team members
- Collaborate with the Global Trade team to analyze complex trade-related matters and recommend cost-effective and compliant solutions
- Prepare reports to be delivered to clients and other stakeholders
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and build strong internal relationships within EY and across service lines
- Provide expert advice on global trade regulations, tariffs, and customs procedures
- Assist clients in ensuring compliance with international trade laws and regulations
- Analyze client supply chain operations to identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and risk mitigation
- Help clients save costs through Free Trade Agreements and other Special Programs
- Support clients during post-clearance audits and prepare cases for customs authorities
- Leverage EY’s technology platforms for trade management, compliance monitoring, and reporting
- Monitor changes in global trade regulations and advise clients on business implications
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service and communication
- Understand client business models to provide tailored global trade solutions
- Collaborate with Tax, Advisory, and Assurance teams to deliver comprehensive services
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Law, or related fields
- Experience in customs and trade advisory
- Experience working for a Big 4 accounting firm preferred or relevant industry experience
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience working in multicultural teams
- Relevant Master’s degree or professional qualification (CPA, ACA, CA, CMA, SOCPA, Law qualification, CTA or equivalent) preferred
