Job description
Reporting to the Managing Director of Generation International KSA, this Head of HSE role carries accountability for all Health, Safety, Environment, and Process Safety activities across ENGIE's Generation International assets and entities in the Kingdom. Power generation assets, water desalination assets, O&M companies, project companies, corporate functions, and contractors all fall within scope, alongside Security Governance, Crisis Management, and Operational Risk Management. You act as the principal advisor on HSE matters, driving the implementation of ENGIE Group and Generation International HSE policies, standards, and Life Saving Rules across every site. Strategy sits at the center of the job. You develop and implement the KSA HSE strategy, establish HSE objectives and KPIs aligned with ENGIE's global targets, and lead governance reviews that benchmark maturity across the different GBUs. Contractor safety compliance, permit to work, LOTO, and safe system of work governance all run through this role, alongside incident investigation, HOP and safety culture initiatives, and environmental performance oversight at the KSA level. Crisis management and business continuity preparedness fall under your leadership too, and you represent ENGIE with regulators and stakeholders on HSE matters when requested. Executive leadership extends to establishing the One ENGIE HSE culture, advising executive management, monitoring HSE performance across assets, and closing out HSE action plans. Coaching HSE teams and organizing collaboration across the GBUs on knowledge, competencies, experience feedback, and training rounds out the mandate.
