Job description
This Business Development Manager role at Swift, the worldâs leading provider of secure financial messaging services with a presence in 200+ countries and more than 12,000 banks and financial institutions, is responsible for acquiring new customers by selling existing products and services and developing business opportunities within a defined territory or customer segment. The position requires generating leads and identifying new business opportunities through prospecting and cold calling, identifying qualified prospects and developing them into viable opportunities, delivering compelling presentations to senior management, negotiating contracts and closing deals, and building long-term client relationships through excellent service and support. The role demands keeping accurate records of all client-acquisition activities, staying current on industry trends and understanding how they impact customersâ businesses, and operating within a consultative sales process. Qualifications include a Bachelorâs degree (preferred) or equivalent professional sales experience, a proven track record in consultative sales, strong communication skills (oral, written, presentation), organizational abilities (time management, prioritization, multitasking, follow through), the ability to work independently and collaboratively, knowledge of the financial services industry (preferred), experience using CRM systems, solid negotiation skills, strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office, and language capability in English, Arabic and French. - Generate leads and identify new business opportunities through structured prospecting efforts and cold calling to create interest and secure meetings with key decision makers.
- Identify qualified prospects and develop them into viable business opportunities by aligning needs with Swift solutions.
- Develop and deliver compelling presentations to senior management that articulate solution fit and business value.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to acquire new customers and drive revenue growth.
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships by providing excellent service and ongoing support.
- Stay current on industry trends and assess how changes impact customersâ businesses to inform sales approach.
- Keep accurate records of all activities related to client acquisition efforts using CRM systems and documented processes.
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelorâs degree (preferred) or possess equivalent experience in a professional sales environment.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of success within a consultative sales process, including contract negotiation and deal closing.
- Exhibit strong communication skills, including oral, written, and presentation capabilities suitable for senior audiences.
- Show excellent organizational abilities encompassing time management, prioritization, multitasking, and follow through.
- Operate effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Bring knowledge of the financial services industry (preferred) and experience using CRM systems.
- Demonstrate solid negotiation skills and strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Communicate fluently in English, Arabic and French.
