Job description
Tenant mix strategy, category planning, retail sizing and asset differentiation shape every retail asset this Director takes forward within Qiddiya's Retail Business Unit. From business planning and feasibility through design, procurement, construction, tenant fit-out, activation and opening, the full development lifecycle sits under your leadership. Stage Gate submissions and governance reviews are a regular part of the calendar, with recommendations and executive summaries going to governance committees and senior leadership forums. Feasibility assessments, business cases and investment recommendations support each decision, and capital expenditure budgets set firm limits. Market demand, customer trends and competitor performance all inform asset positioning. Consultants across retail planning, design, technical and commercial disciplines are procured and managed by you. Opening readiness depends on close coordination with Leasing, Tenancy Delivery, Asset Management and Operations, so servicing provisions, circulation strategies and tenant requirements are built in early. Performance metrics, risk management and recovery strategies keep programmes on track. Candidates bring 10 to 12 years in retail, mixed-use, commercial or destination development, including managerial experience, and memberships such as RICS, ULI, PMI, CIOB or ICSC are preferred.
