Job description
The Senior Associate in Financial Communications at Teneo Middle East plays a pivotal role within the Strategy & Communications team, advising corporate and public sector clients on integrated communications, investor relations, and capital markets strategies. This position requires fluency in Arabic and a deep understanding of the region's business, media, and capital market landscapes. The Senior Associate will proactively provide insights, conduct horizon scanning, and offer strategic advice to support clientsâ reputational and financial objectives. They will oversee and deliver high-quality client-facing deliverables including presentations, reports, earnings releases, and Q&A materials while mentoring junior team members. The role also includes supporting new business development, proposal building, and contributing to multidisciplinary projects that intersect with financial advisory, M&A, digital, corporate communications, leadership coaching, and crisis management. Working at Teneo, the Senior Associate will engage with high-profile clients, including FTSE 100 and Fortune 100 companies, across sectors such as energy, tech, FMCG, financial services, and government entities, while developing their expertise in strategic communications and advisory across a dynamic and collaborative regional environment.

Key responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning and provide advisory insights on regional market trends, business developments, and capital market issues
- Monitor media coverage, social media, and client communications campaigns, providing analyses and reporting for internal and client use
- Support financial communications and investor relations strategy, including messaging, content creation, copywriting, and client-ready deliverables
- Lead the development of client documents, including presentations, reports, earnings releases, Q&A materials, and other financial communication collateral
- Assist with account management by monitoring progress, flagging risks, mentoring Executives and Associates, and supporting PMO activities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities, addressing areas of concern, and proactively supporting client objectives
- Contribute to business development through proposal preparation, research, insight generation, and supporting senior team members in pitching engagements
- Mentor and coach junior colleagues on effective communication, strategy execution, and client delivery standards
- Collaborate across Teneo disciplines, including financial advisory, management consulting, people advisory, risks advisory, and M&A communications, to deliver integrated solutions
- Ensure high-quality delivery of all assigned projects and materials, maintaining attention to detail, accuracy, and client expectations
- Stay abreast of regulatory developments, market trends, and sector-specific insights to support thought leadership and innovative client solutions
- Participate in professional development and learning programs, actively sharing knowledge and best practices within the team
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree or higher in Communications, Journalism, Political Science, Finance, Economics, Law, Public Policy, International Relations, Business, Accounting, or a related field
- 3â5 years of experience in strategy, communications, financial communications, or investor relations roles, agency or in-house
- Fluency in Arabic (verbal and written) with strong English proficiency
- In-depth understanding of the Middle East media, business, and capital markets landscape
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data and insights into actionable recommendations
- Proven ability to provide strategic counsel to clients and senior stakeholders
- Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills with the ability to craft high-quality client materials
- Experience in client relationship management and supporting business development initiatives
- Strong project management capabilities, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to mentor and coach junior team members
- Flexibility to travel and work on-site at client locations as needed
