Job description
The Manager Solution Delivery (Emirati Talent) role within du’s Information Technology function is responsible for managing end-to-end IT solution delivery from demand intake through to production in a telecommunications environment. The role collaborates closely with business stakeholders and demand management teams to conduct feasibility analysis, prioritization assessments, and provide insights into business case viability, solution design complexity, IT capabilities, and effort estimations. The position ensures that all system enhancements and initiatives comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements, that solution designs fully address requested enhancements, and that developed solutions perform as required. The role oversees vendor-managed delivery, including defining and managing work packages, setting standards for programming tools and techniques, governing compliance, improving delivery schedules, and enhancing service quality and timeliness. The Manager Solution Delivery evaluates the effectiveness of IT end-to-end delivery processes to improve time-to-market, builds and implements testing policies and practices aligned with Managed Service Provider frameworks, and contributes to large-scale IT transformation initiatives within the telecommunications industry, leveraging expertise in IT solution design, development methodologies, testing types, project management, governance, and financial management.

Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and demand management to perform feasibility analysis, prioritization assessments, and evaluate business case viability, solution design complexity, IT capabilities, and effort estimations
- Ensure system enhancements are submitted without compliance gaps and that solution designs address all requested enhancements and performance requirements
- Assess stakeholder-driven initiatives to perform policy compliance checks prior to implementation
- Manage end-to-end solution delivery from demand initiation through production, providing design-related support throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Manage vendor work packages, monitor delivery progress, and identify opportunities to improve delivery schedule management
- Coordinate with vendors on the design and execution of enhancement projects to ensure quality and timely service delivery
- Set and enforce standards for programming tools and techniques and ensure vendor compliance with established standards
- Evaluate and provide input on the effectiveness of end-to-end IT delivery processes to enhance overall time to market
- Build and implement testing policies and practices in alignment with Managed Service Provider frameworks to improve delivery quality
- Lead and support large-scale IT transformation projects within the organization
Experience & skills
- Hold a minimum Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Services, or Computer Science
- Possess 7–12 years of experience in Information Technology or Information Services roles
- Demonstrate experience within the telecommunications industry as a preferred qualification
- Exhibit strong understanding of IT solution design, development methodologies, testing types, and project management
- Provide proven experience in managing vendors and outsourced delivery models
- Demonstrate a proven track record in governance and financial management
- Hold certifications such as e-TOM, BSCS, ISO, or ITIL as an advantage
- Demonstrate knowledge of telecom infrastructure as a preferred requirement
- Be fluent in English and Arabic
