Job description
Jebel Ali School, one of the largest British curriculum schools in the UAE, is appointing a Primary Teacher to start in January 2027. Lessons follow the National Curriculum for England and Wales, with planning built around each child's needs, learning style and capabilities. Early reading calls for a clear grasp of systematic synthetic phonics, and early maths needs the right teaching strategies. Formative and summative assessment, regular marking and target setting help every child improve on their previous best. Pastoral care carries real weight, balancing academic and social progress and spotting safeguarding concerns early. Parents receive regular, professional updates on attainment and progress. Beyond the classroom, enrichment, after-school activities and occasional evening or weekend events such as concerts are part of school life, and UAE heritage and culture are embedded in the curriculum. Candidates should be qualified whole-school Primary Teachers with a B.Ed. and/or PGCE, full working knowledge of the English National Curriculum and a proven record of outstanding results. Background checks, including overseas police checks, apply to all appointments.
