Job description
IIA standards and IFRS principles set the technical foundation for this Senior Internal Auditor role, and everything from planning to reporting gets built on that base. You deliver independent, objective assurance over internal controls, assessing whether company policies and procedures are followed, management systems work as intended, and business risks stay under control. Engagements get planned through kick off meetings, preliminary RFIs, and scope confirmation sessions with stakeholders, then executed, and occasionally led, with a moderate to high degree of complexity. Data sourced from ERP, POS, and other business systems gets extracted, cleansed, and analyzed independently, generating key risk indicators, exception reports, and continuous monitoring routines. You build relationships with process owners across the business, retrieving the information each audit actually needs and leading process understanding sessions when required. Audit programs, process documentation, risk and control evaluation matrices, and both draft and final audit reports all come out of this role, each one grounded in careful process understanding. Findings get discussed and validated directly with stakeholders, with responses and action plans gathered and followed up on after each audit closes. Support extends across the Group's international businesses too, reflecting the Internal Audit department's expanding regional footprint.
