Job description
The Information Technology Manager at InterContinental Abha is responsible for ensuring reliable IT infrastructure and seamless technology operations throughout the hotel. The role involves managing hardware and software systems, maintaining network security, implementing digital standards, and providing technical guidance to hotel staff. The IT Manager serves as the primary contact for IT-related issues, evaluating vendor proposals, training team members, and safeguarding the hotel against cyber threats. This position requires technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to proactively address IT challenges to support exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for all IT-related operations, including hardware servicing, system installation, and troubleshooting. The IT Manager ensures that all hotel technology systems function efficiently and reports updates to the General Manager, Director of Finance and Business Support, and Area IT Leader.
- Maintain and update knowledge of approved hotel systems and technologies, including LAN, POS, and other operational software. This includes ensuring that all systems are up to date, secure, and optimized for hotel operations.
- Safeguard IT infrastructure by implementing and maintaining cybersecurity standards. This involves monitoring systems for potential threats, applying security patches, and ensuring compliance with PCI DSS standards.
- Evaluate vendor proposals for IT equipment, software, and services, ensuring cost-effective and quality solutions. The IT Manager negotiates contracts and manages relationships with third-party service providers.
- Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions and training for hotel staff on IT systems, software updates, and best practices. The IT Manager supports the development of staff IT competencies to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain hardware and software performance by troubleshooting issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring reliability across hotel systems. This includes both digital and physical security standards.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to support operational needs and implement technology solutions that enhance guest experiences and internal efficiency.
Experience & skills
- Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Computer Science, IT, or related field is required.
- Minimum of 4 yearsβ experience in IT setup, troubleshooting, and management.
- Working knowledge of networks, operating systems, and databases is essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to train and guide hotel staff.
- Team player with proactive, responsible, and hardworking attitude.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple IT tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with hotel IT systems, POS platforms, and network administration is advantageous.
