Job description
The Private Credit / Fund Finance Lawyer role based in Dubai operates within a leading global banking and finance legal practice advising across the MENA region and internationally. The role involves advising on a broad spectrum of lending and finance matters under both English law and UAE law, including secured and unsecured bilateral and syndicated loans, leveraged and acquisition finance, private credit transactions, fund finance structures, loan rescheduling and restructuring, loan transfers, participations, and loan portfolio acquisitions and disposals. The position works with a diverse client base including banks, corporates, sovereign wealth funds, private capital investors, private credit providers, and other financial sponsors. Lawyers are expected to run transactions, manage complex multi-jurisdictional matters, and work directly with clients, delivering technically excellent and commercially pragmatic legal advice. The role provides exposure to high-profile, market-leading transactions across asset classes, strong career progression opportunities, and participation in a sophisticated internal training programme within a top-tier, award-winning global finance practice.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Advise on private credit and fund finance transactions under English law and UAE law
- Handle secured and unsecured bilateral and syndicated lending transactions
- Advise on leveraged finance and acquisition finance matters
- Support loan restructuring, rescheduling, transfer, participation, and portfolio acquisition or disposal transactions
- Run transactions independently and manage transaction processes end-to-end
- Draft, review, and negotiate finance and security documentation
- Work directly with banks, corporates, sovereign wealth funds, private credit providers, and financial sponsors
- Coordinate multi-jurisdictional matters across the MENA region and beyond
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate 4–6 years post-qualified experience at a high-profile law firm
- Exhibit strong experience in fund finance and corporate or banking finance transactions
- Demonstrate first-class legal ability with a practical commercial approach
- Exhibit excellent drafting, analytical, and technical legal skills
- Be fluent in English; Arabic language proficiency is advantageous but not required
- Demonstrate exceptional academic results throughout legal education
